We are seeking a highly skilled, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in litigation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast- paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including case management, legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for trials and hearings.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various labor and employment law issues.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Translate legal documents and communications between English and Spanish as needed.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and creating trial binders.
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal in litigation, with a focus on labor and employment law.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
